A few questions - interview with death metal band from Italy - ORGANIC.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play , etc.?

Hello, first of all thank you for having us! We are four guys from southtyrol, Max on the Vocals, Benni on Guitar, Markus on Bass and Lukas on Drums. The band was founded back in 2013 by former Vocalist Chrisi releasing the first EP „Death Battalion“ in 2014 and I took over vocals in 2016. By 2017 we were ready to enter the studio and recorded our Full-length debut album „Carved In Flesh“. We want to bring on the oldschool sounds of Death Metal. It is really important to us, to stay true to the Swedish HM2 sound but still having some brittish influences.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

We recorded our Album at the end of 2017 at Sound Control Studio and it was produced by Lukas Flara who also recorded the „Death Battalion EP“ he is a great engineer and works principally with Death Metal musicians. The recording sessions went flawless and we had a great experience recording our record.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

We had a digital pre-release on the 5th of June but we got quite a big request for physical copies so we are having a release of 100 handnumbered cassettes which a canadian underground label is producing for us and we are planning on releasing it also on CD, it would be great if we could also release it on vinyl.. time will tell.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

The autor of all the lyrics besides the title song „Carved In Flesh“ were written by ex vocalist Chrisi, most of them are war themed and a lot of religious criticism. Tipical Death Metal stuff ;)

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

Artist Samuel Mills aka Defame created the perfect Album cover for „Carved In Flesh“, we think that it really fits the music. The immage of a band is always important but in the end it's really the music.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

This release was indipendend and we are not signed by any label at the moment but we are looking for one to release this and future records with.

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

In general Old school death metal bands, our music is mainly influenced by bands such as Entombed, Dismember, Asphyx, Bolt Thrower or Hail of Bullets. There are so many great bands in death metal you can't count them!

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

We have sent our record to a few labels actually, it is really difficult to get a labels attention and it's not easy to get a spot. We did get some responses but the main one was that they are completely full and have no releases planned the upcoming year. This proves also how big the scene is and how many bands there are.

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

We played quite a few gigs, we actually lost our count but the type of gig we prefer is the one where people go crazy, there is nothing better than seeing a satisfied audience. We love what we do and seeing people enjoying our work is even better. We also supported bands like Fleshgod Apocalypse and Graveworm and played at both indoor and outdoor festivals also club shows.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

Our future plans for now are playing the next festivals and concerts this summer and later on we will focus more on writing new materials.

How and where can your fans contact you? Can you provide some contact information?

Our fans can get in contact with us on Facebook or just send un an email at deathorganic@gmail.com we are always glad to get messages!

Thanx for the interview.

Thank you!
