S hudbou je to jako s jídlem. Každému chutná něco jiného. Já kupříkladu nemohu pozřít pálivé kousky pokrmů. Jsou na mé vnitřnosti příliš bolestivé. S muzikou to mám úplně naopak. I ve chvílích odpočinku mě musí skladby něčím zaujmout. Předat emoce, vyvolat různé nálady. Pro dánské ARTILLERY mám slabost od jejich počátků. Líbí se mi, jakým způsobem kombinují dynamické, drtivé pasáže s melodiemi. A potom, znáte to, srdci neporučíte.

Letos přicházejí tito maniaci s deskou, na které dle mého skromného úsudku převládají heavy metalové prvky. Jedná se o mírný pokrok, vývoj v mezích toho, co kdy ARTILLERY vytvořili. V pozadí stojí velmi dobré řemeslo, přidáno je nadšení a cítím zde i radost z hraní samotného. Vše je pak zamícháno, opatřeno jiskřivým zvukem a podáváno podchlazené.

"The Face of Fear" je deskou, která opravdu zároveň chladí i pálí. Milovníci chilli papriček by si mohli v přeneseném slova smyslu přijít na své. Samozřejmě, nezapomíná se ani na lehké progresivní, technické pasáže, ale ty jsou dávkovány s citem a jsou opravdu spíše kořením, než nosnými motivy. Velmi příjemně zpracované, zároveň ale i řezavé, jsou vokální party. ARITLLERY se zbytečně netlačí do oblastí, ve kterých se necítí jisti. Za ty roky na scéně si vytvořili svůj jasný, nenapodobitelný styl. Jsou v něm spokojení a velmi dobří. Neposouvají hranice, ale mě, jako posluchači jsou neskutečně sympatičtí. A hlavně, novinka se opravdu dobře poslouchá. Kupříkladu skladbu "Sworn Utopia" nemůžu vůbec vyhnat z hlavy už nějakou dobu. ARITLLERY jsou zkrátka klasici, na které je spolehnutí. Nové album je toho jasným důkazem. Velmi dobře!

With music it's like with food. Everyone likes something different. For example, I cannot eat spicy food. They are too painful for my guts. With music, I have it quite the opposite. Even in moments of rest, the songs have to catch me. Pass emotions, bring different moods. I have a weakness for Danish band ARTILLERY since their beginnings. I like how they combine dynamic, overwhelming passages with melodies. And then, you know, you cannot dominate your heart.

This year, these maniacs come with an album, which according to my humble judgment, is dominated by heavy metal elements. This is a slight progress, a development within the limits of what ARTILLERY has ever created. There is a very good craft in the background, enthusiasm is added and I feel the joy of playing. Everything is mixed with a sparkling sound and served sub cooled.

"The Face of Fear" is a record that really cools and burns. Lovers of chilli peppers will be really happy. Of course, it does not forget even lightweight progressive, technical passages, but they are batch with a feeling and they are really more spice than main motifs. The vocal parts are very pleasantly processed, but also they are cutting. ARITLLERY are not unnecessarily pressed into areas where they are not feel comfortable. Over the years on the scene, they have created their clear, inimitable style. They are happy in that style and very good in it. They do not move the boundaries, but to me as a listeners they are incredibly sympathetic. And especially, the news really listens well. For example, the song "Sworn Utopia" cannot be out of my mind for some time. ARITLLERY are simply classics that are relied on. The new album is clear evidence of it! Very good!
