Interview - RADIATION - Old school thrash death metal from Slovakia!

Interview with thrash death metal band from Slovakia - RADIATION.

Answered Mrož.

Translated by Markéta, thank you!

Ave RADIATION! I am just sitting by the fireplace in my cottage in the Jizera Mountains. Your new album “The Gift of Doom” is screaming from my player and I mix the album with older albums by VENOM, MOTORHEAD, CELTIC FROST, HELLHAMMER and I keep telling myself that your music should have been released 20 years ago when I was a young guy full of energy. Your album feels like it has a “rejuvenating effect”! Thank you for that but I just ask myself how is your album accepted by the new and young generation of fans? Are there any? I am asking because some of my younger friends told me: “Dude, this music is for old men!” and then they went and update their Facebook profile picture.

Hello Jakub. Damn, I really envy your great nice times in your cottage. Of course, there is a young generation of fans who do not spend their free time online and they go to concerts and they like this music for “old men”. I can only guess what they think about “The Gift of Doom”, however the critics are mostly old warriors, ha ha. I do not know so much the younger ones and we are no longer “the young guys from Bratislava” any more as they used to write about us, ha ha. But my opinion is that everyone should listen what they want.

I was excited and satisfied about your previous album “Plutonium Overdose” but this year’s album “The Gift of Doom” absolutely crushed me. Normally I do not hesitate to listen any music which cuts and burns but this time I think that you must have recorded this album just for me. I am literally fascinated y the sound. Where and how did you recorded? The new album is even more “mouldy and rusty” that the previous one. Were you able to have any comments about the final sound?

Thank you. To be honest the sound and music are not for everybody. So you should be glad that you belong to the “group of people who were chosen to like this” and you feel good about the sound of the album, ha ha. The album was recorded by our friend Bibo from Vomitor Sound (he is also a member of ABORTION band) as well as the album “Plutonium Overdose”. The sound sounds old and dirty so we achieved what we wanted.

How RADIATION compose new albums? How the composing process goes? Who is the author of your music?

The author of music is me (Mrož) but the adaptations and changes of some passages are done by other members of the band and usually it is even desirable to change some things together. The process is not really interesting – when I have an idea I write it in the Guitar Pro (it is a program where you can put tabs, drums and so on) and I gradually add some passages and instruments. When I am happy about it after a while I send it to my colleagues so they can tell me how they like it and they can practise it at home. Then we work on it together in the rehearsal room and in the end the song is absolutely different than it was at the beginning, ha ha.

Who is the author of your lyrics and what are they about? Where do you find your inspiration? You often mention radioactivity in your songs and other related things. Are you interested in this issue deeper? What about Chernobyl, have you been there?

I am also the author of the lyrics, Mrož. They are (unexpectedly) about a nuclear apocalypse, dark future, sci-fi and so on. I find the inspiration in movies, definitely. But also PC games or my wild fantasy. It is not even necessary to be deeper interested in the issue of radiation. I have of course red The brochures like “Anti-atomic protection of the population” or “Behaviour of the population in infested area” which were released at the beginning of the 60s but in a case of emergency I do not think this would be really helpful. Of course, we have visited Chernobyl among other things we shot our cover picture for the album “The Gift of Doom” there. Very interesting experience, I would recommend it to anyone.

You have always had a great covers for your albums. Do you take an extra care about your covers? Who is the author of your new cover on the album “The Gift of Doom”?

Yes, the cover is very good and that is very important for us. We want the people who buy our CDs to receive more than just music. The cover, as well as for “Plutonium Overdose” was done by our friend Peter “Šuhaj” Ličko. As a based he has some of our requirements and sketches on the level of handless chimpanzee. Both covers are done in a classic way – with a brush on a canvas. We do not really like the digital covers.

“The Gift of Doom” was released on a CD and digitaly by German label Witches Brew. Why did you chose this label? I think that your music would look great on vinyl, have you thought about it yet?

Ann Brew from Witches Brew is our personal favourite. From the time she has been doing this she released a tons of great bands. We tried to reach her because she previously heard us play live so she knew what maniacs are we, ha. It worked out well and we are very grateful. Vinyl should be done in 2018 in cooperation with 2 Slovak labels. But we will inform fans about the releasing date.

Thrash/death metal are so extreme styles that there is not so many fans who would listen to it. So the bands have to go abroad to be known. Are you planning any concerts outside your country? Do you try to reach abroad labels? Do you want to and ty to be known on the international level?

Yes we plan some abroad concerts and as you can see we cooperate with foreign labels. But I would not say that we push the effort to be more abroad known. We just do what we like. There are many bands similar to our abroad and they do not need any other foreign bands. On the other hand the least thing you can do is to write an e-mail and send a promo.

How does the Slovak underground look like now? Is it live? Do people go on concerts? From Pilsen, where I live, it is far away but when I can go to Slovakia, “your people” seem more “hones and real” to me, they more enjoy the music and so on. Do you feel it the same?

Sometimes they go on concerts, sometimes they do not. Obviously, some bands have more people on their concerts then others. It depends on the promo. It happens that organizers are disappointed how few people had come, but sometimes even I do not know that there was a concert happening. And about enjoying music – I do not know. I think that we are not that different. In the contrast of South America we can all be ashamed.

Are there any albums which have caught your attention recently from the Czech Republic, Slovakia or other countries? I want to know what music musicians listen to. Do you have the same music taste within your band? Do you go on concerts together or do you listen to the same music in a car?

We listen to similar music and we have never had a problem in a car. I do not want to speak for the others but great music for this year was Pagan Altar. In case of Slovak scene I would say Malokarpatan. And we all agree on that.

All the members of RADIATION are active in the great band DEMOLIZER. I would like to know if there is a big difference to compose for one or the other band? How DEMOLIZER work? You were great in Písek but I do not hear about you very often.

I do not compose music in DEMOLIZER, I am just a help for the base – basically I am just a fan with a base in his hand. The main comments come from Demolator and Vrana. I think they do a pretty good job. Dmolator also plays with members of RADIATION Vrana and Janči in a black/death band GOATCRAFT. And Janči also is a member of crust band RIGHT TO KILL.

What are RADIATION´s plans for the next few months? Do you want to visit the Czech Republic?

There is not much yet, the year has just started. In February we have a concert in Budapest and we are talking about releasing “The Gift of Doom” on vinyl or cassette edition and we would like to go on a tour to support our album in the second half of the year. But we will inform you soon about that. We also want to release some merch for the new album. Of course, we want to go to the Czech Republic and if we cannot go as a band, we would go as fans to some event.

I have just finished all my beer and your album has played in my player for 50th time. Above Ještěd Mountain are clouds and it is snowing. I have to end this. I would like to thank you for the time you spend with my questions and I wish you personally and to the whole band many successes, peace and concert halls full of fans. Thank you so much for this interview, I wish you luck!

Thank you so much for the space for our band here. These questions were not the “copy/paste” questions and the author had to think about them. Thanks.

OBLIVION - The Path Towards...

Mě album "The Path Towards..." nechytlo.

Asphyx says:

Rarely, it happens that music is unpleasant for me. Unfortunately, the new album by American technical death metal band OBLIVION is like that to me. I just rather avoid this. If you look for chaos, perfect musical performances and you like to be destroyed with unclear music, you will be satisfied. But I feel that I have already heard all of this before. It is just put into a whole which does not taste good to me. I feel that lately almost every second band plays the same music and bands seems very similar.

OBLIVION are very talented, of course. They spreading ideas everywhere. Their songs are inspired by MORBID ANGEL, ATHEIST, NILE, SUFFOCATION, SPAWN OF POSSESSION, OBSUCRA and FALLUJAH. Everything is nicely thought out with clear nice sound and interesting cover. But still I have a feeling that the songs just pass my without any hit into my head. I would recommend the new album to everyone who likes complicated riffs, melodic (or ethereal) parts. This album “The Path Towards…” did not catch me. I am bothered by the vocals in some parts and I cannot get rid of the feeling that I know what will happen in the songs. Today, this is just a better average without any added value. Solid, but not interesting matter.

Recenze/review - HOODED MENACE - Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed (2018)

HOODED MENACE - Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed
CD 2017, Season of Mist

for english please scroll down

Mlha, pláč a chladné večery. Chodím sem každý den za tebou. Šeptám opatrná slova touhy. Poslouchám novou desku death/doomových HOODED MENACE a mám pocit, že se každou chvíli setkáme.

Záhrobní knihy okultních věd byly opět otevřeny, aby vydaly další svědectví o smutku, špíně, chladu a samotě lidského utrpení.

Asphyx says:

There are dark clouds above the cemetery. The sky blackened and my steps are rustling like two baby snakes between the tombstones. Death is everywhere around and you can almost feel its presence. Black blood is raining from the sky. Fog, crying and cold nights. I walk here every day to see you. I whisper careful words of desire. I listen to the new album by the death/doom band HOODED MENACE and I feel that we will meet each other very soon.

The sepulchral books of the occult sciences were reopened to give further testimony of sadness, dirt, cold and the loneliness of human suffering. “Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed” is an album which will make you calmer during long walks along the cemetery where your body has already been buried.

I am sitting on a stone bench in the middle of a cross forest. I open a beautiful booklet, admiring the cover by Adam Burke. I inhale the cold and sad atmosphere of the songs which draws inspiration/similarity from WINTER, ASPHYX, COFFINS, ACID WITCH, DRUID LORD, old PARADISE LOST, AUTOPSY. Those Finns are able to create a beautifully mouldy mood of freshly exhumed graves. I can see the remains of myself in front of me. I cannot get enough of the sparkly frozen air around me. This year, HOODED MENACE are a little bit rawer but definitely more cold. Cover your faces in a hood, turn yourself into a dust from which we all once came. “Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed” is painful, racing album full of the beauty of dying. Death doom metal from the world beyond which will invite you on an endless trip! Excellent funeral fest!

Recenze/review - ZIGGURAT - Ritual Miasma (2018)

ZIGGURAT - Ritual Miasma
CD 2018, Blood Harvest

for english please scroll down

Na oltáři svítí v řadě vyrovnané svíce. Hoří černým spalujícím plamenem. Velekněz církve nesvaté kráčí zahalen v kápi a podřezává první oběť.

Každý den k večeru, když nebe ztěžkne a prší krev, se zúčastňuji černých mší plných zaříkávání, reálného a syrového black death metalu. Vždy moji tvář ovane závan větru ze záhrobí. Máme zde co do činění s opravdovým pekelným ohněm.

"Ritual Miasma" je nebývale temným albem. ZIGGURAT mi připomínají padlé kněze, kteří dávno ztratili svoji víru. Dnes jsou zkušenými a značně uvěřitelnými zaříkávači. Hudba zde připomíná svíjející se klubko hadů, kteří se po pálení rozžhaveným železem rozhodli pomstít celému světu. Ze skladeb je cítit tma, rouhání a hlavně nekonečný chlad. Představte si vysokou zeď, postavenou z kamení, železa, špíny, smrti a nenávisti.

Asphyx says:

There are candles on the altar which are burning and are in one row. They are burning with black burning flame. The high Priest of the unholy Church is walking in the hood and he is cutting his first victim. The pentagram is shining into the darkness and everybody who is there starts to say the prayer to call the dark powers. From the underground comes the choral of the death. From the coffins are climbing small snakes. The ritual can start!

When listening to the new album of an Israel band ZIGGURAT I have the feeling that I am really locked up in an old cell. Every day in the evening, when the sky becomes heavy and the blood is raining, I participate in black masses full of invocation, real and raw black death metal. My face is always blown with wind from the tombs. We are dealing with the real hell fire.

“Ritual Miasma” is an unusually dark album. ZIGGURAT reminds me of fallen priests who have lost their faith long time ago. Today they are experienced and highly believable chants. Their music reminds me of writhing cluster of snakes which were burned with hot iron and they decided to get back at the world. From their songs you can feel darkness, blasphemy and the endless cold. Imagine a high wall made out of stones, iron, dirt, death and hate. It is falling right on your chest, it suffocates you, smashing you with unprecedented strength. ZIGGURAT convinced me on their dark side, they conquered my soul and cursed me forever. They meet my highest requirements for ritual ceremonies. The heaven is burning again! The death is holding endless orgies! Black death metal which will burn you to ashes! Excellent!

A few questions – interview with black/death metal band from Israel - ZIGGURAT.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play , etc.?

As already been said, Ziggurat was formed in 2015 as a duo project. We started writing our material and released our first single Blind Faith as a demo. Along the years we tried to bring more than just black or death metal, we wanted to bring something from our own perspective of what is modern extreme metal. Somewhere in 2017 we contacted Menthor and asked him to join forces and to be our drummer on Ritual Miasma. In last May Stephen Lockhart from Studio Emissary was in charge of the sound, and that’s it basically.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

Ido has his own home studio where he recorded all our guitar and bass lines, same story with Menthor that works from his home studio and sent us everything needed afterwards. The vocals were recorded at Dmusic studio, based in Tel Aviv where most of the local metal bands rehearsal and record their stuff. As said before, we chose Stephen Lockhart from Studio Emissary to be in charge of the sound production.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

Caligari Records released 200 pro tape cassettes and Blood Harvest will release 500 copies of LP and CDs each, with different colors.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

I (Zaniv) was in charge of the lyrics. I tried to bring some of our own culture and myths like Dybbuk which is very familiar in the Jewish tradition. The album itself is based on rituals, each one of the songs represents a stand alone ritual.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

Ziggurat’s logo was crafted and designed by Christophe Szpajdel. Ido is the one behind the designs, sigil and all other graphic related. To be honest yes, I think that each of these is very important, it expresses the idea behind bands, it represents what we do and want to deal with.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

We recieved offers from many labels. At last we decided to go with Blood Harvest and Caligari Records because of their strong roster we are proud to be a part of, and of course a good treatment we got from both of them.

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

I think the ispiration came not from spesific bands but more than the occult thing that gets stronger and bigger these days. We wanted to have a mix of all the so called occult wave band and just a bit of some old school death metal that Ido and I both like.

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

We sent our EP to a list of appreciated labels which we both like. We got positive answers along some negative. We are very satisfied with the results.

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

So far we didnt have any live performances, BUT we are currently working on some local gigs and some international appearances.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

Currently we work about establishing the live line up, this is our main goal at the moment. Who knows what shall the future bring to us..

How and where can your fans contact you? Can you provide some contact information?

The most effective way to get in touch is on facebook and email – zigguratband666@gmail.com feel free to contact us regarding anything like shows, merch, interviews and such. Thank you.

Thanx for the interview.

Recenze/review - UNDER THE CHURCH - Supernatural Punishment (2017)

UNDER THE CHURCH - Supernatural Punishment
CD 2017, Pulverised Records

for english please scroll down

U nás na starých pohřebištích bývá pěkně těsno. Musíme pak vzít do ruky pochodeň pravého švédského death metalu a hrdě ji přinést na náš nebohý svět. Už zase tančí nemrtví do rytmu chřestících kostí. Kývám se do rytmu a užívám si chladný vítr, které ovívá můj obličej. Zrodil se v podzemí, stejně jako kapela UNDER THE CHURCH.

Asphyx says:

In our old burial grounds it is sometimes quite tight. So we have to take the torch of true Swedish death metal and proudly bring it to our wretched world. The undead are again dancing to the rhythm of the rattlesnake. I swing to the rhythm and enjoy the cool wind that flan my face. He was born in underground, just like the band UNDER THE CHURCH.

Tell your dear ones to help. You have to take a shovel and a bucket with you, today we will buried like in the old days. Do you like the good old DISMEMBER, NIHILIST, NIRVANA 2002, but also MASTER, AUTOPSY? Then you are right here. There is a lady with a scythe next to the cemetery wall waiting for your real death metal assignment. You can be sure she will surely get it today. For the night exhumation, we will play "Supernatural Punishment".

UNDER THE CHURCH get inspiration from good old days, they are soaked by them like a corpse by decay . Do not expect miracles, even not a perfect and revolutionary work, but rather a perfectly crafted work. It's just up to you what you prefer. Personally, I like to dance again on the graves of my death metal ancestors. One of the true ones is playing at my session with the undead. I feel cold, eternity, truth, strength, energy. It is packed with a great cover, under which Death itself is hidden. I dump my own grave with the taste and I am disgorging infected guts. I always wanted to die somewhere in the frozen north. "Supernatural Punishment" seems to be a record to fulfil my wish. Pure Swedish death metal, which will crush your bones by cold! Great!

Recenze/review - RAPTURE - Paroxysm of Hatred (2018)

RAPTURE - Paroxysm of Hatred
CD 2018, Memento Mori

for english please scroll down

Peklo!

Vždyť Řekové hrají s odhodláním, poctivě a rezavě.

Asphyx says:

There is no point trying. Gradually, your flesh is falling off your bones, your will rot alive and your brain will be boiled in your juice. Among the graves will be not that bad and your desire for darkness will again win. You will succumb! You will succumb to the real, rusty death thrash metal!

Imagine the beginning of the 90s, tons of cassettes around your music-player, denim jacket full of patches of famous bands of that time. This is the time where Greek thrash madmen RAPTURE belong. This year they came with their long-played album which if filled with energy, dirk and loud echoes of the beyond world. Hell!

Take the album “Paroxysm of Hatred” in your bony hands and smash it into small pieces, then you will find that the band was inspired by bands like DARK ANGEL, DEMOLITION HAMMER, DEATH, SADUS, SLAYER, MERCILESS, PROTECTOR, RIGOR MORTIS, MASSACRA, SEPULTURA, DESTRUCTION, NUM SKULL, PESTILENCE, SODOM. What a great company, isn´t it? RAPTURE are very sure about it and they definitely do not put those bands to shame. Rather the opposite, the new album has power of old open graves, a lot of real feeling and determination to destroy the world with rotting. You can have a thousand of reminders that all of this has already been here, that this is nothing new but who cares? Those Greeks play with determination, honestly and with rust. Personally, I am very satisfied and I can only recommend this album. You will decay alive! Great album!

Recenze/review - ROTHEADS - Sewer Fiends (2018)

ROTHEADS - Sewer Fiends
CD 2018, Memento Mori

for english please scroll down

Asphyx says:

Forever closed in the underground, we are rotting alive. We call upon the death metal gods of the 80s and 90s, we are cut off from today´s corrupt world. We walk through the underground and look for bands which honour the same idols as we do. We bet on dirt, decaying bodes and the endless lines of undead. We are cursed! Forever! Amen!

ROTHEADS is a death metal band from Romania which worship music of the famous bands like AUTOPSY, INCANTATION, CARNAGE, GRAVE, ASPHYX, or even the Finnish scene (ABHORRENCE, SENTENCED, DEMIGOD, DEPRAVITY). Their long-played first album “Sewer Fiends” is a very bloody ticket to the beyond world. And I have to say that this ticket is very good.

What I like the most about ROTHEADS is their determination, the ability to compose a memorable song that will break you up like a corpse from the ancient times. Those Romanians play music according to old practices but they do it very good and their songs have their own invention. They have a clear vision – to destroy you, gradually, like a disease. They feel like messengers from the 90s who came exhumed again to this world to spread the fame of the one and only real death metal. This album will probably not appeal to today´s spoiled consumers and admirers of technical equalizers but rather fans who remember the classic defamation of graves. I really like to go to sleep with “Sewer Fiends” into my wooden coffin. I enjoyed the cold melodies, ashy sound and also the power of the world beyond. They became my faithful guides in the world of shadows. A mouldy death metal which cuts like a rusty knife! Very good!

A few questions – interview with death metal band from Romania - ROTHEADS.

A few questions – interview with death metal band from Romania - ROTHEADS.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play , etc.?

Hey there! We are Rotheads from Bucharest, Romania and we play old school death metal leaning on death doom and a bit of a punk attitude. We started jamming some riffs back in 2014 and we consider that the beginning of the band, but I can’t remember when we actually came up with the first song or the band name.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

We recorded the drums in a friend’s rehearsal place and the rest of the instruments basically in someone’s bedroom/living room, haha! Imagine the mattress and some blankets turned into a vocal booth! I guess these weren’t the best conditions for recording, but we recorded our demo incognito in the National University of Music here in Bucharest and it has been fun and it felt right most of the time, close to the DIY concept really. Maybe we’ll do some things a bit different next time after learning a few things the hard way these times. But still, these are better stories than just recording in some regular studio, right? The recordings and premixes were done by local Cătălin Lungu (Bastos, Fake Bantame) and the mix and master were done by Javier Félez of Moontower Studios and the Spanish death metal band Graveyard. We pretty much gave him free hand on the mix and master and only gave a few feedback on some small details.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital vinyl, cassette)?

There are 1000 CDs released through Memento Mori. There will of course be a digital release because sooner or later someone’s probably going to rip the CD to the internet and some people will just want the songs to play on their devices without the hassle of a physical medium or shipping fees. We were thinking about doing a self-released cassette tape version too, but no plans for vinyl at this point in time. We’ll try to think of other mediums to release the album on, if anybody has any crazy ideas, please write us!

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

Our very own Spurcăciune is the both the author and interpreter of the lyrics on Sewer Fiends. First we came up with the whole theme for the album, meaning sewer and underground beings and places. This itself was maybe influenced by the concept for the artwork and the album title which have been floating around for awhile. After that the song titles were written and then some lyrics and after matching them with the songs the rest of the lyrics were written. Some lyrics have even been written during the recordings because the songs were in a more palpable form and lyrics could be better tested on them. Most of these things were done by Spurcăciune, but there was always feedback from the rest of the band.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

Our friend Željko Lučić from the band Heretic Rites created the logo. He probably still thinks it’s a bit raw and that he could have smoothened it up a bit, but we love it! And it’s probably too late now anyway, but who knows? For the demo it was a concept by Spurcăciune and it has probably been done by three different people including himself at different times. For the album Sewer Fiends the artworks and layouts are the work of César Valladares who has worked with many death metal bands and we’re very pleased with what came out.

We’ll take care of the social networks and speaking to fans through emails ourselves until we finally manage to turn this band into the MultiCorp we dream of!

For now two songs have been on Memento Mori’s Youtube channel, but we’ll probably take care of the rest ourselves when the time comes, although we’ll concentrate more on streaming websites like Bandcamp.

The internet is important too, as is the physical side of it all. I mean us doing this interview through the internet and we managed to get on Memento Mori through the internet too. You just have to balance these things and know what each one is for, people will probably like to know that there’s actually a physical Rotheads band playing music and releasing tapes and CDs and whatnot somewhere out there that they might someday see live or talk too. But they’d also like to hear from the band and feel their presence even if they are far away and they might not come around anytime soon.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

I don’t know if you can say exactly that we chose Memento Mori, at the time we were mostly fooling around with the demo and trying to do our best after some major lineup changes and while looking through Memento Mori’s roster we saw they encouraged bands to send demos (as long as they actually fit the label I think). So we did that and didn’t really give it much thought, but we got a quick and enthusiastic response and a deal to release an album. We are of course proud that Sewer Fiends is being release by Memento Mori because there are a lot of great bands from the underground released through it and there are also rereleases of timeless records that we love and it’s also a distro for all sort of cool releases, so it’s a great label to be on. And yes, we are very satisfied by how everything worked out with Memento Mori, they have been of great help and it is a very friendly and motivating relationship.

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

We’re fans of almost anything that’s old school death metal from the early 90s. Maybe we have some influences from other styles like traditional doom metal, sludgecore, crust and others too, but it’s mostly about old school death metal. I’d say that the Finnish scene has been very influential on us with bands like Abhorrence, Sentenced, Demigod, Depravity and the rest of them and then there’s the American scene with bands like Autopsy, Incantation, Rottrevore, Accidental Suicide etc. I’d also mention Carnage, Cenotaph and Asphyx. We also like newer bands like Funebrarum and most of the really new bands that play these days. Inspiration just comes from all these years of playing music and listening to a lot of music and old school death metal albums and demos.

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

We have only sent the demo to one label and that was Memento Mori and the response was great, the album was merely some future prospect at that point so we couldn’t send it to any labels. When the demo first came out we showed it to Odmetnik in Serbia which is run by a friend and that’s how we got to work with Željko. The response was great and we wanted to make a release of the demo with them, but it was a small label and at some point it was decided that they couldn’t invest in this because of others projects. At some point Blood Harvest contacted us about the demo, but nothing came out of that at that point and the band was probably in a weird state with its lineup back then too. But all in all, the response was really good and we should have probably tried harder and even with labels that we’d considered out of our league because you never know.

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

I think that we played maybe 8 or 9 gigs. We have played in a lot of different ways since the beginning of the band. First as an improvised death/doom duo in a small cellar type club, then as a secret act for another secret act because both bands included the same members. After that we had a demo release party in a club and a few gigs opening for some death metal giants (Sadistic Intent, Master, Dead Congregation) all in clubs and an avant-garde performance with some experimental artists inside a museum. We only played twice or maybe three times in a sort of festival like environment and both were indoors. I’d say we always liked the smaller, more intimate places or the weird ones better. I think our best performances have been in small and tight clubs with our friends from Cardinal and Fuck You! Dracu.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

Our plans are to improve as a band and as artists and musicians, write more songs and release more materials (albums, splits, demos) and tour to spread the word about these things. It would probably be nice to achieve that cult like timeless following that the bands that inspired us achieved, but for the moment we would just like to put out more music and have a great time doing it.

How and where can your fans contact you? Can you provide some contact information?

Our fans can contact us on Facebook by writing a private message to the band page, sending a emails to our email address, saying hi at gigs if they’re around, or knocking on our doors. Just kidding, please don’t come knocking on our doors.
