Poslední dobou mám čím dál tím víc chuť sestrojit stroj času a vrátit se do osmdesátých a devadesátých let. Znovu prožít thrash metalové šílenství, opět potkat své staré kamarády a pořádně zapařit.

Letošní album "Summon The Hordes" to jen potvrzuje.

Asphyx says:

Recently, I have become increasingly keen to construct a time machine and return to the 1980s and 1990s. To relive thrash metal insanity again, meet my old friends again and hang out. Unfortunately, there is no chance to give back that time, so I am still a gray wolf who only raises his head if he hears honest music or goes around a sexy she-wolf. I don't have to prove anything to anyone; I listen to metal mainly for joy.

PROTECTOR has been part of the thrash metal scene since 1986, they have experienced and remember (Martin Missy) his biggest boom, subsequent attenuation and the attempt to return. Most of all, I appreciate one absolutely crucial thing for me - they play with heart, honestly and truly. This year's album "Summon The Hordes" just confirms it.

"Summon The Hordes" is a record that really resembles a time machine. As if I had fallen into a deep hole, floated through it and found myself at a concert sometime in 1990. Around in mosh-pit, figures in denim waistcoats, with cartridge belt around their waist are headbanging. We are jumping from the stage; we can wring our heads off. PROTECTOR and I, we belong here, we came from the same basics, and that's why I like the new record so much. It has a properly out-of-date and moldy sound, cover art as cut from the old magazines. And when you add the standard procedures, gradation and headbanging, everything is there. The band stroked out on a long trip along the timeline, to its own roots. They quote from textbooks they have created. I like when legends speak with the same voice. They are a clue for me, the certainty that somewhere the world is still okay. Give me some beer and let me out of the chain! The absolute definition of thrash metal! Total metal! Excellent!
